New blog sites for gardening and art work

Just a quick post to say that I've been taking the opportunity over the last couple of weeks to get the garden and allotment looking good for the summer.

I must say the sight of the allotment horrified me when I went down. It's been so wet underfoot that there was no point visiting earlier, I would have just been trampling the clay ground into a hard unworkable mass. Given a couple of weeks of nice dry weather though and the weeds have taken over. The plot is a substantial size and hard work on your own, but I'll get there! I also need to keep my front and back gardens in check, and again there's been no point until now, although things are now happening really quickly and it's hard to keep up with the new growth!!!

In order to keep the horticultural side of me separate to the cultural side (books, cinema, theatre etc) I have started a new blog I'm Digging The Dirt to keep people up to date with the trials and tribulations of growing your own, I'll also post some recipes that you can try with what you've grown. It's a work in progress, so please bear with me!

I've also opened up a blog to share my artwork with you. Some of my work has been uploaded to RedBubble so that you can buy it on clothing and home decor etc and I now have an Etsy shop to sell my prints and original artwork.  As you might guess, the art studio is currently biased towards The Musketeers, but different stuff will be added over time. Keep up to date with what's been designed via the blog!

That's all for now, should have been seeing Tom at Manchester Comic con tomorrow, but he cancelled. Still there have been some pictures released of him rehearsing his new play The Deep Blue Sea, so I guess I'll let him off the hook. I'm really looking forward to watching that next month!
